Live Music in the Lucchesi Tasting Room

Have you spent a weekend evening with us? Every Friday and Saturday night, we have live music in the Lucchesi Tasting Room. We enjoy a great variety of music styles from our local musicians, and it's always a good time! What better way to celebrate a weekend evening than with fabulous wine, delicious appetizer plates, and live music! All in the setting of our lovely historic building at 128 Mill Street in downtown Grass Valley.

We stay open until 9:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and the music usually runs from 6:00pm-8:00pm. This weekend we are featuring Jim Bratton on Friday, March 21st, and Tom McChristian on Saturday, March 22nd.

Valentine's Day is coming up and we have some great events planned in the Lucchesi Tasting Room! We are having a wine, manicure, and pedicure party on February 13th, and we're joining other local wine tasting rooms in offering fabulous food and wine pairings on February 14th!

The downtown Grass Valley wine tasting rooms will be offering wine and food pairings to celebrate Valentine's Day! Wine, cheese, chocolate, pastries... the perfect way to begin your Valentine's evening! In the Lucchesi Tasting Room, we will have wine and delicious macaroons.

Blind Wine Tasting

Have you been wine tasting lately? In a blind wine tasting of phenomenal wines this week, our Lucchesi Cabernet Sauvignon was the clear favorite! Thank you, friends, for passing along this nice review:

"I thought you might be interested in a blind wine tasting we participated in last night.  Along with an excellent beef dinner, we had 4 different Cabernet Sauvignon wines, all sealed in bags to prevent identification.  We knew that three were 2005 Cabs and one was a 1999 Cab.  We also knew one was a Napa Silver Oak, one was a Viansa V Cab, one was Bortoni Cab.  The fourth wine was unknown, but brought by a very savvy wine taster.  When all was said and done, one wine was judged by 3 of the 5 tasters as the very best and we all predicted it to be the Silver Oak.  But, oh no! When the bags were removed from the bottles, we found that the favored wine was not Silver Oak - it was a 2005 Lucchesi Cab!  And, it was really good!

We are looking forward to our next visit to Lucchesi."

The Wild and Scenic Film Festival is this weekend! During the event, and lasting until February 3rd, we have art from the Wild and Scenic Art Show displayed in the Lucchesi Tasting Room! Come enjoy a glass of wine and see beautiful art from these local artists: Kerstin Ronsiek, Linda Galusha, Bruce Malnor, and Margie Miller!

We continue to carry Sciabica's Olive Oil! You could put together a wonderful gift basket with olive oil, other food goodies, and wine.

 

We have a number of wine accessories: some beautiful, some functional, and many both functional and beautiful! We love these antique door knob wine corks!

 

Local handmade napkins/coasters by Koala T Kraft. They are colorful and unique and wrap around the bottom of your glass. Also a creative way to tell whose glass is whose at a festive gathering!
