Have you been wine tasting lately? In a blind wine tasting of phenomenal wines this week, our Lucchesi Cabernet Sauvignon was the clear favorite! Thank you, friends, for passing along this nice review:
"I thought you might be interested in a blind wine tasting we participated in last night. Along with an excellent beef dinner, we had 4 different Cabernet Sauvignon wines, all sealed in bags to prevent identification. We knew that three were 2005 Cabs and one was a 1999 Cab. We also knew one was a Napa Silver Oak, one was a Viansa V Cab, one was Bortoni Cab. The fourth wine was unknown, but brought by a very savvy wine taster. When all was said and done, one wine was judged by 3 of the 5 tasters as the very best and we all predicted it to be the Silver Oak. But, oh no! When the bags were removed from the bottles, we found that the favored wine was not Silver Oak - it was a 2005 Lucchesi Cab! And, it was really good!
We are looking forward to our next visit to Lucchesi."

New Wine Releases in November
We have been busy bottling at the winery, and we've released several wonderful new wines!
Our 2012 Chardonnay is a toasty sweet spicy wine with touches of caramel, honey, and buttered toast. Tropical flavors with vanilla accents from the oak. It has a golden color, and it's deliciously exotic and satisfying.
Our 2012 Pinot Grigio has complex flavors of peach, kiwi, apricots, meyer lemon, guava, and honey. A wonderful minerality on a long vanilla finish. It's Champagne without the bubbles!
Our 2011 Syrah has flavors of jammy juicy blackberry and blueberry. Plum and vanilla on the finish. Pair with bacon wrapped dates and butternut squash!

The Masque is a red wine blend with fruity aromas of cherry crème brulee, mocha, and a hint of tobacco with a soft, fruity medium body and a jammy, nut accented finish. A nice, fruity quaffer.

Fall at Lucchesi
October is a wonderful month at Lucchesi! After weeks of picking grapes for many hours every day, we finished picking last week! The harvest produced great yields and excellent quality, and we look forward to putting it in the bottle! We had a great time celebrating at our Harvest Party this weekend.
